BRITAIN AND IRAK
MOST QUESTIONS SETTLED
STATEMENT BY EMIR FEISAL
LONDON, Bth August. Emir Feisal, at the conclusion of his London visit, said that nearly every outstanding question between Irak and Great Britain had been settled.
Ho hoped that means would be found for furthering the opening up of the country.
The administration of Irak was entrusted to Great Britain by the Supreme Council of the Allies. By treaty between Great Britain and Irak the former undertook to exercise its good offices to secure the admission of Irak to tho League of Nations. As soon as that admission had been accomplished all the responsibilities of Britain as the mandatory Power would be terminated.
