V"OTICE is hereby given that, at a X 1 Special Meeting of the Upper Hutt Borough Council, held on the Sth day of August, 1930, the following Resolution was passed:— "The Upper Hutt Borough Council, pursuant to the provisions of the "Local Bodies' Loan -Act, 1926. the. • Municipal Corporation Act, .1920, and its aincud"ments, the Local Authorities . Empowering (Relief-of Unemployment) Act; .-1926, and the Local Authorities; Em powering (Relief..of Unemplov.jncnt)_Extension Act.,----1930, and iv pursuance of all other Acts, and powers (if any) enabling it iv that behalf DOTH HEREBY resove by way of resolution: — (1) That a Special Loan of £400, to be known as "The Upper Hutt Borough (West Ward) Unemployment Relief Loan of £400, 1930," be raised by the Upper Hutt Borough, Council for the purpose of carrying out public works for the relief of unemployment, namely: Formation of Foothpath and Widening of Road, Chatsworth road. Formation of Footpath, Moonshine road. Formation of • Footpath, Ranfurly road. Formation of Footpath, Gloucester road. The object in undertaking such works is primarily to provide employment for men in the Borough who would otherwise be without employment or without sufficient employment to enable them to maintain themselves and their families in a reasonable condition of comfort. (2) That the interest on the said loan be at the rate not exceeding six per centum per annum, payable half-yearly during the currency of the said loan, being a period not exceeding 20 years from the ISth day of August, 1930. (3) That a sinking fund of .not less than three per centum per annum, be established in connection with the said loan. (4) That the security for the interest, sinking fund, and ' other charges, and repayment of the said loan be a special rate pf four thirty-thirds of one penny iv tlie £ ou the unimproved value of all rateable property in the West Ward of i the Borough of Upper'Hutt to yield ii> i terest and sinking fund, and other charges on the said loan and 10 per cent, additional to those amounts. AND notice is hereby given that the foregoing Resolution will be submitted for confirmation at an Ordinary Meeting of the Upper Hntt Borough Council, to be held on the 18th day of August, 1930, at the Council Chambers, Main road, Upper Hutt, at 7.30 p.m., aud that any person having any objection to the proposed loan is .-called upon to submit the same in writing to the Upper Hntt Borough Council not later than the day preceding the said last mentioned meeting.
