BROADCAST TALKS
TO PREVENT ACCIDENTS
! The suggestion of the Eadio Broadcasting Company of New Zealand, Ltd., that broadcast talks to educate^ the public would do much to diminish pedestrian accidents, was received by the Wellington Automobile Club very favourably last night. The company wrote offering arrangements for weekly talks for the benefit, of adults, and an intensive campaign for children, to coDsist of daily chats during the children's session. The chairman (Mr. E. A. Batt) said that this was one of the finest suggestions they had received, and the offer should bo accepted. This' it was decided to do, and Messrs. J. V. Wilson, the chairman, and the secretary (Mr. H. J. Stott) were appointed a sub-committeo to attend to the matter.
