BURIED IN BURMA
-4REMAINS OF ERIC HOOK SAD CEREMONY AT PROME ("Received Ist August, 9 a.m.) PROME (Burma), 31st July. The remains of the late Eric Hook were interred in the local cemetery this morning. The funeral was accompanied by Hook's companion, James Mathews, the Deputy Commissioner, and all important district officers. The military police reversed rifles and the sad cortege was witnessed by numerous spectators, all of whom were deeply moved. . Mathews remains at Prome until his health is x restored. ,
