Captain Broad and Mr. Alan Butler were the only two competitors out of 00 entrants in the air circuit of Europe to earn the maximum 270 points for flight and reliability. Mr. Carberry, another British entrant,- was third with 268. Captain Broad and Mr. Butler both used Gipsy Moths and their average speed during 4750 miles circuit was 110 miles an .hour.
