SHOOTING OF GIRL
BUENOS AIEES, 20th June.
A revolution has succeeded in Bolivia, and the Government, of which the President is Hernando Siles, appears to be definitely overthrown.
Students who urged the people with banners to "Throw off the yoke of Siles" are given credit for winning the revolution. Soldiers and police used machine guns in street fighting, which the students described as massacres.
Tho shooting down of a beautiful girl and her student lover spread the fire of early rioting into a real revolution.
