The Prime Minister (the Hon. 3. W. Eoibes) left last night for Cheviot. He will letum on Wednesday morning. Lieut.-Coloticl L. H. Jardine, D.S.O.', M.C., has relinquished the command of the Ist Battalion, Taranaki Regiment, and has been tiansfened to the reserve of officers. Major G. F. Bertrand succeeds him.
