LORRY OUT OF CONTROL

CAPSIZE AT DUNEDiN

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, loth June. Through a lorry getting out-of control and capsizing, Gordon Albert Craik, atwelve-year-oJd boy, of Nicholson street, South Dunedin, fell beneath the side of the vehicle and was crushed to death. ' The accident occurred on Friday night. The lorry was being driven by Frederick James Craik, the deceased's brother, and while proceeding down, a hill on the Mornington road got out of control owing to the brakes failing. The driver put the lorry into low gear, but failed to cheek the speed of the vehicle, and Craik decided to run into a bank. Tho lorry, on striking the bank, capsized, and Gordon Craik fell beneath the side of the vehicle and was crushed to death. An inquest was opened on Saturday, and after evidence of identification had been taken was adjourned.
