BROOKLYN CLUB

The Brooklyn Harriers, after a run of IV- miles, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. w" II Hewitt, of 370, Main road, Karori, on' Saturday. Their house was. made the startin" point. Three packs followed the trail, which was laid by T. Davies and N Swain. It led from the house to the foot of the hills and climbed to the top of one of the main ridges leading to Mt. Johnson, where it picked up the bky Farm road and followed it to a point above Wilton's Bush and in line with Wadostown. It then led down the hills to Wilton's road and the Karori Mam road, and thence home. The wind made the laying of the trail difficult in .places. The results were: D. C.' Pederson, 1; L. C. Todd. 2; D. Todd, 3. Vfternoon tea was served by Mrs. and Miss Hewitt and friends. The club captain (J. B. Bibby) expressed the appreciation of the men. Next Saturday the Cook Cup will be competed for over a five-mile course at Lyall Bay.
