HOSPITAL LADIES' AUXILIARY
The medical superintendent of tho Wellington Hospital (Dr. H. B. Ewen) submitted the following monthly report of tho Ladies' Auxiliary:—
"Wellington Central W.C.T.U. continued the visiting from 3rd March to 16th March, five ladies taking part and visiting 127 patients during, that time. Gifts of fruit, eggs, scones, cigarettes, books and magazines were given, and some Home papers' procured for some of the men patients. The Kolburn League of Mothers visited from 17th March to 28th March, ten ladies taking part, and in that time visited more than 200 patients. These ladies were spoeially kind to the children, and gave books, games, and cards. The Victoria Wards, too, yfere well looked after, and scones, biscuits/cakes, as well as magazines, were,given. In the' Main Hospital many were visited and ' cheered, one patient being supplied with warm clothes, and many gifts of fruit, scones, cukes, as well as books and cards were distributed. Theso ladies were very enthusiastic. and charmed with the arrangements of the Hospital. It was their first period of visiting."
