COMMITTEES' SITTINGS
The Committee appointed by the Government to inyestigate the working of the Shops and Offices Act is at-present in Kotbrua, and the members are expected to arrive, in Wellington on Memday to hear final evidence.. . The concluding witnesses will probably be disposed of in two sitting days, and the Committee will then deliberate, on tho .training of its recommendations. In the absence of the Chairman (the Hon. A. J. Murdoch), who was.obliged to return.to Wellington while the Auckland evidence was being heard, owing to his elevation to Ministerial rank/Mr. UH. Glinkard is presiding. Mr, Murdoch's appointment! does not affect Ms membership of the Committee. : The Kjfyal Commission which ' has taken evidence in regard'to Workers' Compensation Law, is still deliberating at Parliament Hbnse.,'V c
