WORK TO RESUME
NORTHERN COAL MINES
COMPLETE AGREEMENT
NEWCASTLE, 22nd May.
A complete agreement for tho resumption of work at the Northern coal mines has been reached between the ownrs and miners' representatives. Work will commence ill all idle mines next "Wednesday.
The question of withdrawing free labour from tho Ro'thbury and Northumberland mines, as well as the remission of fines and the release of imprisoned miners, will be discussed with the Premier to-morrow. It is not anticipated that any hitch will occur. The terms of settlement with the miners are not announced, but it is known that the miners have arccepted a wage cut and have agreed to eliminate petty stoppages. /
