REMARKABLE ESCAPE

PALMEBSTON N., 22nd May
Two women and a girl had a remarkable escape from death when their car skidded on the Palmerston NorthLongburn road to-night. The machine turned completely round and capsized.
All the occupants were injured and the car was very badly damaged. Mrs. E. D. Knight was tho chief sufferer. She received severe head and face wounds, necessitating the insertion of several stitches. Her condition is satisfactory, however.
The driver, Mrs. Kiiight's cousin, Mrs. A. Loekie, of Napier, and the other passenger, an clcvcn-ycar-ukl girl, were both severely bruisd.
