COMMITTEE'S SITTINGS
Members* of the committee, appointed by the Government to inquire into the operation of the Shops and Offices Act will leave' for Auckland to-night to commence sittings thnre; The final sittings for the hearing of Wellington evidence, will commence early nest week, when it i 8 understood witnesses will be heard representing some of the larger organisations interested. Tho committee haa already visited tho South Island. After concluding the taking^of evidence, the committee will deliberate and frame- its report.
