Catalogues totalling- 7SOO bales, including 3780 New) Zealand, were offered to-day and about 70*10 bales were sold. There was a moderate / selection of greasy merinos, mostly spinaers' sorts, and a good offering of all sorts of New Zealand wools. The strong •' ne .of the market continues. Ajil sections of the trade are operating full late rates. Sales: Isftw Zealand greasy crossbreds: Ashcott, &%d to lO'/id; Ashcott, 13d to 12% d. / Now Zqaland crossbreds, Ardeu, sold 13d. Slipes, halfbred lambs, realised lod. Messrs.' Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd., and Abraham and AVilliams, Ltd., report b/aving received cable advice from their London house, reading as follows: — "Wool ;sales continued. Market continues active, .competition animated. Continental and Bradford buyers chief operators. Selectibn good. Greasy merino, 60-64's, 119 id; I greasy fine halfbred, 56-58's 12% d, 59-56's/ 12% d; greasy ■ threequarter-bred, 48-503, ll%d; greasy fine crossbred, 46----48's, ll%d; greasy medium crossbred. 44----46'b, jlld; greasy crossbred, 40-44's, 10% d; greasjy crossbred lambs, 46-ati'it, ll'4d. Slip*<*l prices 2Va per cent, higher. Aus'tralißii merino prices. 2% per cent, higher, to 5 per cent."
