AS ANTI-CYCLONE MOVES

Fine and pleasant weather prevailed generally over the week-end and was still in evidence this morning. But on the West Coast of the South' Island cloud is now more in evidence, and foggy conditions have been prevalent on the coast between Akaroa and Porfi Chalmers, gouth-easterly winds have prevailed over the northern half of tho North Island. Elsewhere winds havo been chiefly northorlies and these have freshened somewhat about Cook and Poveaux Straits. All centres had fine weather over the week-end, Wellington, having rather moro c*oud thau haa been the case latel.r.
