The newspaper. "Literary Digest," in a poll of 4,150,017 votes, ascertained the following figures: 1,248,589 for enforcement, 1,231,849 for modification, and 1,6(39,579 for repeal of the Prohibition law.

North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Kansas, and Arkansas cast the majority for strict enforcement. Only New York, Connecticut, and Bhodo Island had a majority for repeal.
