' Captain W. A. Cray, who has completed his holiday, has relieved Captain F. G. B. Bilton, of the Kartlsi, for his holiday. Mr R 1) Brebner, chief officer of the Kamona has been granted leave on account of private affairs, and Mr. D. J. R. M'Kenzlc has been appointed to succeed him temporarily. Mr. N. Archbold has relieved Mr. A. \\. Babbitts as second officer of the Komata. Mr. D. H. Richards is rejoining the Aorangi cs junior third officer after holiday, vice Mr. J. Watling, who has been appointed senior third Captain E 11. Phillips is in command of the Golden West, which is due at Wellington in about a week's time from Los Angelea, via Auckland, and he has with him the following officers:—First, Mr. O. W. SURREY REACHES HALIFAX.
