The Westinghouse Co. this week displayed tho newest invention of the ultra-violet ray, which is harmless and invisible, and which will protect vaults or harbours in war time. Jewellers can, place tho rays in various angles in a strongroom so that, an intruder, interrupting a ray, will cast an unseen shadow which will ring an alarm or release a tear-gas barrage.
