CHINA AND THE POWERS
RETURN OF LEASED , TERRITORIES

SHANGHAI, 14th February.
Mr. H. AVang, the Foreign Minister, states that the respective foreign Governments have approved the provisional court agreement, which will be formally signed on Monday. An agreement was also reached between the Government and the British Minister reganding the retrocession of Wei-hai-wei and the draft has already been initialled. This is the initial step towards the return of all leased territories held by foreign Powers in China. It is also considered to be the first definite move towards an international settlement.
