CONVENTION IN WELLINGTON
The.'New Zealand Society of Accountants .Iwill celebrate its "coming of age" thja'jyear, as the organisation was incorporated twenty-one years ago. It has grown'remarkably, and its finances are on a Very sound basis. Membership is over 1800, and "it has over £12,000 to the credit of its various funds. In addition to the annual meetings of the society, it is customary to hold every few years a more general convention, attended by members from the whole Dominion, at which important questions affecting the profession, and particularly its relation to the public are discussed.' The conyention is being held this month in Wellington, opening on Tuesday, 25th February, and continuing on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Papers are to be given and discussions held on important topics of public:finance and accountancy questions, and a special convention committee has made complete plans for the entertainment of the large number of ■ visitors expected.
