An Irishman"and a Yenk met one day and began to talk about what they had seen.
"Well," said the Yank, "I was at a boat race oneday and it was such, a close finish that the winning boat only won by the thickness of the paint on it." "Oh! begorra," said Pat, "that's nothing. I was at a horse race one day and it was such a close finish that the favourite was stung on the nose with a bee and he won by the swelling."
