DANCE RECITAL.
Mlbs Kathleen O'Brien will present on Monday. 25th. November, at 8 p.m., at tho Concert Chamber of tho Town Hall, her annual dance display. Tuneful singing, beautifully dressed ballets, and bright music arc worthy of mention. Dainty old-world minuets, toe and classic ballets will be followed by spirited jigs, hornpipes, and eccentric dances. The scenery has been specially designed and painted, and the ever-popular baby class, consisting of tiny tots from the age of two years, will he allotted ten minutes to demonstrate their ability. An . exposition of the new American rage, "The Break-away," will be given by the older pupils, who:. will also perform ir a beautiful scena, "The Fire Ballet.". Song, dance, and story are Included in this programme. The box plan Is at the Bristol.
The Wellington Navy League -will hold a reception at Kirkcaldie's Jacobean Room next Thursday, at 3.45 / p.m., in honour of | Commodore Geoffrey Blake, C.8., D.5.0., R.N., recently appointed to the command of the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy. Members of the league are invited to caH for their tickets at the Navy League Office before Wednesday.
