SAFETY IN SUBMARINES

(Received 14th November, 11 a.m.)_ RUGBY, 13th November.' Mr. A. V. Alexander, First Lord of the . Admiralty, said that arrangements were being made to purchasg sufficient apparatus to equip all officers and men in submarines with an apparatus which would afford individual members of the crews a fair chance o£ escaping from sunken submarines and reaching the surface.
