Smith scored 2271, an average of 252 an innings, and Lindrum scored 1712, an averago of 190. In the Davis-M'Conachy match, M'Conachy started with a lead of 788, and w:s in play with 406. Ho took the break to 555, breaking down on a difficult cushion cannon. M'Conachy appeared to find the running conditions to his liking, each break representing brilliant play. An easy red winner from hand proved the downfall of the first big break, while he failed in the second when trying to play the red into the middle pocket from an acute angle. The scores in the matches are: Lindrum, 3335, including 1105, 278; Smith (in play), 4285. M'Conachy (in >lay), 5122, including 555, 3SS, 227,' 705; Davis, 2125, including 272.
