GASSED AT LOOS
V.C.'S SUFFERING OVER
(Received 14th November, '11 a.m.) LONDON, 13th November. The death is announced of SergeantMajor J. 0. Raynes, V.C., who had been bedridden fpr three years with paralysis. He was unablo to attend the Prince's dinner, not having recovered from wounds and gassing at Loos when rescuing the wounded, to one of whom ho gave his own gas mask.
