PLUNKET SHIELD
WELLINGTON SUGGESTION
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, 13th November. A suggestion that home-and-away matches between the major cricket associations be played each year for the Plunkefc Shield was made to the annual meeting of delegates of the Ifew Zealand Cricket Council to-night by the Wellington association. Their delegate suggested that the scheme would be of great financial benefit to the participating associations. Each team would then play three Plunket Shield matches in a season on its own ground instead or one and two in alternate years.
The question will be investigated by the Management Committee o£ the council. '
The following ofiicers were elected:— Patron, His Excellency the Governor-Gen-eral (Sir Charles Fe*gusson); , president, Mr. D. Reese; vice-presidents, the presidents of the affiliated associations; management committee, Messrs. A. T. Donnelly (chairman), E. R. Caygili, J. Ramsdon, H. M. Taylor, and P. Dalrymple; treasurer, Mr. D. E. Wanklyn; secretary, Mr. W. H. Winsor; auditor, Mr. A. E. Byrne.
