NO PROFIT IN HATS.
Felt hats for men and women's wear are highly protected in Australia. Nevertheless the directors of Dentoh Hats, Ltd., state in their annual report that the whole of the company's income for the year ended 31st August was derived from rents of premises and interest on investments. Net profit, at £2966 was £1772 below the amount for the preceding 12 months. Interim dividend was 6d a share, and a final payment of 6d is recommended, making 5 >ier cent, for the year—the same rate as for the 1027-28 period. The balance to be carried forward is £253, against £608 last year.
