SHORTT'S THEATRE.
Alone in the world; her mother dead and her father a man she has never known. Such is the plight of little Anita Wayne at the beginning of "The Heart of the Yukon," which is now being shown at Shortt's Theatre. .Left with a small fortune, she determines to find her father whom siie has never seen, and who was last heard of in Alaska. She comes into thi?h '?.""■! Of HiUfway. a sold rush settlement with little to recommend it in tho way of rellnement. There she becomes known to a notorious saloon-keeper, and ho convinces her that he is her father. But through tho etching events which follow Anita fights her way to the truth and the man she loves. Anne Cornwall has tho role of Anita Wayne, while others of noto in the cast include John Bowers Frank Campeau, Russell Simpson, and Eddie Hearn. The second picture is "Secret Orders, starring Evelyn Brent, who plays the role ..of a-Secret Service agent.
