Jimmy Fields (Mickey M'Bann) refuses to accept his father's second wife 'as his new mother, and Ins father,, realising . this, strives desperately to conciliate the boy, but with no avail The boy is accused of a crime he did not commit He is punished by his father, and he leaves home. He does not get very far, however, as a friend takes him under her care, and decides that he will stay with her for a while The climax comes when the lad, on returning to his former home to collect a few private possessions, is accosted by his stepmother and severely reprimanded.
