SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
Some splendid work was done by lira. R. F. E. Fildes's helpers at her concert for seafarers at the Sailors' Friend Society on Tuesday. Many recalls were demanded. The host and hostess extended hospitality to theii; guests. The performers were Mesdames Fildes and Harding, Miss Kathleen Hume, and Messrs. Yates, Smethurst, Len Haywqod, Smith, Williams, and Robertson. Miss Kathleen Hume was at the piano. Mr. J. Moore, missioner, spoke on "Put That in Your Hat," and pledges followed. The competitions aroused much interest. The prizes came from Featherstop and Kelburn, ami went to the Rangitiki and Piako.
