The King's famous vine near Cumberland Lodge, in Windsor Great Park, bore about 1200 bunches of grapes this year. The vine, about 160 years old, is a_ Black Hamburg. It. is in fine condition, and covers a roof* area of 2400 square feet. Some of the bunches weighed more- than 31b. Many of the grapes, at the King's request, were sent to hospitals and other charitable institutions.
