As compared with returns for October, 1928, imports have increased £7,597,000, exports increased £276,000, re-exports increased £240,000. Principal increases in imports are: Grain and flour, £3,370,000; rubber, £1,347,000; raw cotton, £803,000. Exports of coal increased £1,144,000.' Decreased imports were of meat, £958,----000;. decreased exports were in cotton and yarns and manufactures, £2,427,000.
