SEASIDE PICTURES, LYALL BAY.
Two attractions will be screened at the Seaside Pictures, Lyall Bay, to-night. "Emerald of the East" is the story of a young man's experiences in India among the hill tribes. He is taken prisoner and tied to a tree In the jungle as bait to be offered to a tiger In one part of tho film eight thousand Indian troops are seen forming the Imperial initials G.R.I, and the British Crown. "Underground " starring Cyril M'Laglen, is a story of life and love In the underground railways of London. The acting is splendid, every member of tho cast giving faithful portrayals of such types as railway porters and shopgirls. A thrilling scene takes place in the huge power station where the villain is entreated by his unfortunate lover to marry her and the tragic sequel where she is electrocuted. The latest Gaumont Gazette will also be screened.
