In defiance of the army, police, and detectives hunting Dusseldorf high and low, the mysterious murderer known as "Jack the Kipper," claimed another •victim. A young woman, walking along a lonely-lane, was lassooed from behind. A man sprang at her, flourished a dagger, then produced a hammer, and struck her several blows. There is 310 'doubt that the present outrage, the nineteenth since the outbreak in April, is the work of. the same man, because it occurred at the identical spot, and the same methods were employed as' in the first of. the murder series. In every case the murderer has been able to escape- -without leaving a clue..
