TREBLING PROFITS.
Net profits earned by Amalgamated Wireless (Australasia), Ltd., have trebled since the issue of the last set of accounts for the year ended 30th June, 1927. The annual report of the directors for the years ended 30th June, 1928 and 1929, shows net profit for 1928 amounted to £47,425, cpmpared with £25,150 for 1927. During last year the net profit bounded to £79,926. Last year's gross profit amounted to £443,331. Expenses totalled £334,566, there was a loss of £439 on realisation of a subsidiary company, and £28,400 was provided for depreciation. A dividend of 6 per cent, was paid in 1928, and £20,000 was transferred to general reserve. From the profit and loss balance of £84,353 on 30th June last the directors are to pay on Bth November a dividend of S per cent., which will absorb »£59,543. In view of many contingencies, and the possibility of early obsolescence of some of the plant, a further £20,000 has been transferred to general reserve, which now stands at £40.000. An undistributed balance of £4810 remains- to be carried forward.
