QUEEN'S THEATRE.
Another two-feature programme commenced Bcreenlng at the Queen's Theatre yesterday, and it should prove very popular. It is claimed that it is Impossible not to bo thrilled by Edgar Wallace. Certainly, tho picture version of his hook, "The Flying Squad," one of tlm attractions in the new bill of fare at tho theatre, provides exciting and Interesting entertainment. There is; intrigue, no lack of fast-moving action, and romance in this film, which features a big cast of well-known players. The other picture, "Emerald of tho East," as a spectacle alone. Is Well worth while. Two thousand Indian troops take part In tho production, which was directed by Jean do Kuharsdki, who also takes the leading role of tho maharajah. The story tells of tho capture by a wild trlhe in the hills of the jnaharajah's son, and his ultimate rescue, after many exciting incidents, by Joshua Kean, who Is aided by the chieftain's daughter, Mary Odette. In addition to the two feature films, there is a fine supporting programme. • There will be a special holiday matinee on Monday.
