BRITISH LABOUR PARTY
ACRIMONIOUS DEBATE
Australian Press Association.
LONDON, 2nd October. Tho Labour Conference discussed the new draft for tho constitution of the party. An acrimonious debate was aroused by a proposal for the executive to create a new class of associate members who would not be associated with a local Labour Party, but would pay a guinea subscription. This was denounced as "superior person snobbery," and the clause was finally withdrawn.
