WELLINGTON HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY'S SPRING SHOW.
The show in the Town Hall on Thursday promises to be quite up to standard sot by the Wellington Horticultural (society. Entries already have been received from as fay afield as Tnrannki, while the local, Hutt, and Otaki growers will be in full strength. The suburban societies — -Karon, Onslow, Brooklyn, Northland, Wadostown, Miramar, Petone, and St. Thomas's—have all entered for the E. A. Wright Suburban Trophy, and a good display is assured. The prize money in the ladies' decorative section has been doubled, and a number of new exhibitors will be showing there. The show will be opened by Their Excellencies Sir Charles and Lady Alice Fergusson at 3 p.m. Afternoon tea will be provided by the ladies of the society. An orchestra has been engaged, and prize blooms will bo on sale. Entries will be received up to 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
