ARRANGEMENT FOR VISIT
The Eight Hou. Sir Joseph Ward, Minister-iu-Charge of the Tourist Department, stated to-day that, a letter had been received from the newlyappoiuted representative of the Tourist and Bailway Departments in America (Mr. J. L. Wheeler, manager of Pacific Tours, Ltd., San Francisco) that his firm was already sending the following parties:—
A party of 12 members making a tour of both Islands, arriving .in Wellington on 16th December. ,• A party of 18 members making a! tour of the North Island, arriving on 30th December.
These parties would be met by an officer of the Tourist Department and details of their tours arranged. Mr. Wheeler's eleventh escorted party would arrive oa 10th February. The party would consist of 36 members, half of whom would tour both Islands, and of the remainder some would, do the North and some the South Island.
Mr. Wheeler reported that he expected to be arranging for further parties leaving America in November and December, 1 and more, to follow in January and February.
