PARAMOUNT THEATRE.
Two. all-talking pictures, "Marching On" and "The Ghost Talks," constitute moat entertaining features of tho new programme now showing at the Paramount Theatre. In addition, there is an excellent picture of the famous scientist Mr. Edison in his home life, and in his laboratory experimenting with materials to produce rubber, now in world-wide demand, from other plants than the rubber tree. Mr. Edison speaks to the audience. "Jtarchlng On" Is an Incident In the life of a man who fcnew and admired Abraham Lincoln, and the story has a strong and touching human appeal, as well as containing some most amusing features Although the title "The Ghost Talks" savours of the weird, it abounds in humorous scenes which keep the onlookers in roars of laughter. The Jiero is a young man who has graduated at a* correspondence school of scientific detection, and his confidence tn the theories of his book and how they are accidentally successful in overcoming the plots of criminals is demonstrated in a most diverting fashion. Charles Eaton is the young iamateur detective, -and others [imminent In Hie story aro Helen Twclvctrces. JJarl Foxu, Henry Sedlcy, and Joe Brown. Stephen Fctchot and Baby Mack keep tho fun going mcrlily as a negro couplo whose honeymoon is disturbed by "ghosts." The Fox Movietone News includes a fine picture of America's most popular horse race, the Kentucky Derby, scenes of life in Japan, a parado of tho New York police, etc. Tho programme is screened twice (daily, at 2.30 and S o'clock.
