DELANEY DEFEATS BROWN

PALMERSTON N., This Day. In v fifteen rounds professional lightweight contest between Bert Brown, of Palmerston North, who has just returned from America after four years' absence, and Bobby Delaney, of Australia, Delaney won in the twelfth round on a technical knock-out. Brown's seconds threw in the towel. The Australian outboxed and outfought his opponent, and showed a superiority from the fourth round onwards. Brown goaled Sst 21b and Delaney 9st 31b.
