SYNTHETIC TANNING STUFF
"Times" Cables. (Received 29th June, 1. p.m.) : LONDON, 28th June. "The Times" Frankfurt correspondent says that the German Dye Trust'is reported to have discovered and developed a synthetic tanning material which is expected to revolutionise the world's markets, obviating the need of importing expensive vegetable products, from which tanning materials are mostly derived, and which are chiefly responsible for the continuous rise in the price of leather in recent years.
