ANNUAL CONFERENCE
The Council of the Public Service Association continued its sitting at the Accountants' Chambers this morning. The following remits were adopted: 'That the principle of the executive committee in selecting a sole nominee as the association's representative on the Appeal Board be affirmed; and also the method of selection as laid down at the'l92B conference." 1 : -- .• "That in, view of the paucity of the information available in regard to Piiblie Service conditions existing in the principal Australian States, the executive council send a responsible officer or officers to Australia to investigate the position." "That it be an instruction from this council. to the executive committee to exercise' the full powers under the rules for. the recovery of outstanding subscriptions where circumstances • warrant it." - •-..../■ "That where unfinancial members are transferred from one section toY another it should be eneumbent upon the section secretary to furnish a- statement explaining what endeavours have been made to recover the arrears."
