The frequent mishaps to the Island steamer Maui Pomare have led the Prime Minister to remark that if the Government could sell her they -would do so willingly. In the House of Eepreseutatives yesterday, Mr. M. J. Savage (Auckland West) moved for a return slowing: (1) The name of the designer of the Jfaui Pomare; (2) the contract price for building the steamer; (3) the amount paid for extras before the steamer wag handed over to the Government; (4) the additional cost for alterations and repairs since the boat was taken d& livery of by the Government.
