At the ;i iimi.il meeting of the parishioners of St. .James's Anglican Church. Lower Hutt, (.he vicar, Archdeacon Hansell, m the course of his address, referred to the departure of the Kov. J. Blackburn to Wanganui, and to the arrival of the Key. Air Dav.cs. He congratulated the laity ot the ppi-ish on tjieir sincere work and cftorls during the past year, and said that without the co-operation of all interested in the church no real progress could lie made. The treasurer reported a credit balance of £7S. The vicar nominated Mr. J. G. Mitchell as his warden. Mr. F. C. Tuiiley was elected people's, warden. Messrs. W. It. barker, V. 0. Darnell, J. X Kllis, X 0 v? l, IKC; -'}; G- Jarma". H- -\- Lines, M. , °tt ,V- TT- s.mith K. T. Thompson, and H. I. Withington, were elected to the vestry.
