For the first day of the Feilding Jockey Club's Meeting the weather is dull but fine. The track, is in good order after two days' rain. Kesults: —
Kawakawa Hack Hurdles, of 150 soys; one mile and a half.—l Locarno, 11.9, 1; 2 Bed Bank, 9.9, 2; 4 Royal Acre, 10.3, 3. Scratched: Sir Moment, Hymestrason. Won by a neck. Time, 2min 53sec.
Ongo Hack Handicap, of 150 soys; five and a half furlongs.—4 Richfield, 7.10, 1; 2 Cool Mint, 9.5, 2; 3 Inflame, 8.13, 3. Scratched: Seamstress. Won by two lengths. Time, lmin 8 3-sseo.
Manchester Handicap, of 500 soys; one and a quarter miles. —1 Star Area, 9.0, 1; 6 Orazone, 7.10, 2; 2 Merry Damon, 5.9, 3. Scratched: Gold Cure, Manly. Won by half a length. Time, 2min 10 2-sskc
