THE LEAGUE TICKET

DETEKMINED BY BALLOT

A very, large meeting of the Civic League was held on Wednesday evening for the purpose of considering candidates which the league will recommend at the coming city elections. Mr. J. N. Wallace, president, was in tlio chair. ■ The procedure followed was that no names were- disclosed until the president laid the full list .before the meeting. The secretary, Mr. D. M'Laren, made a statement as to those whose names were submitted, giving particu- | lars of their association with civic and other undertakings. At the concluI sion of this statement he was accorded a voto of thanks for the impartial [ manner in which he had set the particulars before members.
