FAIR TO FINE
THE WEATHER OUTLOOK
A wave of relatively low pressure over the South Island yesterday has passed away since last evening, and barometers are now rising, again. This morning northerly winds have backed to south-westerly at various places. The weather has been cloudy and unsettled on the West Coast and in the southern portions of the South Island, and during the night showers fell in those' districts. The falls. were' mostly ! light, although Westport recorded 20 points, Greymouth 25 points, and Queenstown 22 points, while at Puysegur Point there was an unusually heavy fall of 212 points. Over the rest . of .the Dominion, however, there has been a continuance of fair to fine weather. The winds are likely to become southerly generally, moderate to strong. Some scattered showers are likely in the: South Island, mainly on the east coast, but later extending northwards to East Capo. Otherwise the weather will bo fair to fine with cold temperatures. , .
