MINERS' RELIEF FUND

The Lord Mayor's fund for the- relief of distressed, areas amounted last evening to £739,000. The.supplementary Government." estimate, -issued today, includes £ 600,000 contribution from the Government towards this fund, and £80,000 for the Scottish mining areas. The total provided by the Government is increased to £860,000.
